Molly came to the IWW through our main website's Organize! form, met with our volunteer organizers including me, never missed an scheduled check-in without prior notice, took the OT101, signed up her coworkers, but unfortunately, like a lot of us who give union organizing our all, ended up fired. As many Wobblies and other labor unionists know, there aren't enough people out there doing what Molly did. She put it all out there. We don't win without people like that, we won't win without suffering losses, and we certainly won't win without taking good care of our fellow workers who take hits for standing up and defending our class.
Molly was in the process of saving for gender affirming surgery before being fired. For someone else, this would have been all the reason needed to avoid the risks of organizing, but not for Molly. She is now just $3,000 short of her medical budget, and she has confirmed to us that getting her to that goal is her main wish for solidarity at this time. Please give what you can to show Molly and the world that the IWW does not abandon our fighters.
Excess funds will also go to supporting Molly and, if she chooses and it is needed, the organizing campaign she was fired from.
