Solidarity for FW Kaley - IWW Member Fired

We are the Public Workers for Indigent Defense (PWID) Union. We are raising solidarity funds for Fellow Worker Kaley.
FW Kaley (x411678) was sacked after demanding a union rep at work.
Kaley was a public defender and employee of the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission (VIDC). She fiercely advocated for poor and working-class people in an oppressive criminal legal system. She was also a newly elected delegate of the PWID Union.
Recently married, Kaley and her husband bought a home in Lynchburg, VA. They made just enough income to be able to afford the house. They had only paid their mortgage for one month.
Because Kaley is a Virginia public sector employee, she cannot be saved by Weingarten Rights. But she still had the right to associate with an organization "for the purpose of promoting [her] interests before the employing agency" under Va. Code § 40.1-57.3.
The PWID Union - a job branch of the Industrial Workers of the World - believes Kaley's firing was a form of union busting. This attack on working people cannot stand.
As we gather resources and members to stand in solidarity with Kaley, we ask for any financial assistance to help keep her family afloat. Please donate what you can and share on all socials. An Injury to One is an Injury to All!
