A una madre buscadora en México le cuesta 280 pesos imprimir el rostro de su ser querido en la playera que lleva puesta. Para ella, esos 280 pesos son un dilema desgarrador: o compra la prenda para que el mundo no lo olvide, o paga las copias de su propio expediente criminalístico que las fiscalías le obligan a costear de su bolsillo.

Mientras el Gobierno y las multinacionales gastan millones en maquillar los estadios para la Copa del Mundo, las cuadrillas nocturnas limpian las calles arrancando las fichas de búsqueda. Borran los rostros de nuestros desaparecidos para no arruinarle la fiesta al turismo internacional.

Desde el Partido Comunista de México, sabemos que la desaparición no es solo una tragedia humanitaria; es un ataque frontal contra las familias trabajadoras. Es la consecuencia de un estado que protege al dinero antes que a las vidas. Cuando una madre sale a cavar la tierra con las uñas, hace el trabajo que los burócratas en oficinas alfombradas se niegan a hacer.

Ellas no reciben un solo peso del presupuesto público. Salen al campo basándose en pistas anónimas, sin botas adecuadas, sin guantes y sin qué comer.

Nuestra meta es juntar 65,000 pesos mexicanos. Todo va directo a las manos de quienes buscan.

For the mothers of the disappeared in Mexico, it costs 16 USD to print the face of her loved one on the t-shirt she wears. For her, those 16 USD represent a heartbreaking dilemma: either she buys the shirt so the world won’t forget, or she pays for the photocopies of her own criminal case file that the prosecutors' offices force her to finance out of her own pocket.

While the Government and multinationals spend millions polishing the stadiums for the World Cup, night crews clean the streets by tearing down search fliers. They erase the faces of our disappeared so as not to ruin the party for international tourism.

From the Communist Party of Mexico, we know that disappearance is not just a humanitarian tragedy; it is a frontal assault against working-class families. It is the consequence of a state that protects money before lives. When a mother goes out to dig the earth with her bare nails, she does the work that bureaucrats in carpeted offices refuse to do.

They do not receive a single peso from the public budget. They head out into the field based on anonymous tips, without proper boots, without gloves, and without anything to eat.

Our goal is to raise 3,725 USD. Not a single penny will go to bureaucracies or intermediary NGOs. Everything goes straight into the hands of those who search.
