Soles4Good (soles4good.org) provides micro-enterprise opportunities to women in developing nations.
Here's our process:
1) We provide women with basic entrepreneurial and accounting skills.
2) We supply beneficiaries with an inventory of used shoes to help them kick-start their own micro-businesses. They sell these shoes to their community for a profit, allowing them to provide for their families.
3) We help the women transition to locally sourced shoes, making Soles4Good's impact sustainable.
Not only does Soles4Good's process empower women to provide for their families, but it also makes used shoes, which are often wasteful in our communities, productive.
