LIFE-SAVING BRAIN SURGERY FOR BABY SAGE


Hello everyone. We are humbly asking for your help to raise money for our beloved daughter, Baby Sage, who has tested positive for COVID-19. (She is only 3 weeks old when she was hospitalized)

A week later, the infection developed into sepsis and meningitis which resulted to hydrocephalus. Our medical insurance has maxed out. Since July 29, she was in and out of the operating room. Her doctors had a hard time inserting an IV so they decided to put a central line that needs to be changed every two weeks for her medications.

Baby Sage underwent two additional brain surgeries to drain the excessive build up of cerebrospinal fluid to prevent the enlargement of her head and she also had a blood transfusion. 5 weeks now in the hospital and we are positive with the treatment plan that her doctors have recommended. As soon as her bacterial infection and protein level goes down, Baby Sage will undergo an immediate surgery where in a shunt will be implanted permanently in her brain.

Thus, Sage will be closely monitored as she grows up. On behalf of our family, we want to thank you from the bottom of our heart for your support and prayers. As first time parents, this has been a very difficult journey for us. Thank you again. God bless and stay safe!
