Soldier Down

Micheal continues to struggle with complications related to the Aortic Anyurseum discovered in 2018 during a routine pre-op. On August 4th, 2022, Micheal was flown to Palo Alto for his third Aortic repair, only to be subjected to an additional fourth surgery on August sixth, back to back. Each surgery has weakened Micheal to the point that he is no longer able to ambulate on his own; he is having to depend on his wife and his part-time aide for help with activities of daily living. Micheal is currently trying to get 100% on his VA Benefits but having difficulties even making some of those appointments due to the recurring hospitalizations requiring surgeries and extended stays in ICU. Micheal is scheduled for his next surgery on his Aortia on September fifteen, 2022. I am asking his supporters to continue to help Micheal and his wife make ends meet during this time of need. Michael is an Air Force Veteran who served his Country from 1974 thru 1980. He served during the Vietnam war as part of the Strategic Air Command. He was stationed at Carswell AFB for 3 of those years in an underground Nuclear Silo as part of the SAC Alert Force. After Michael`s Military Service, he worked for The Department of Defense Transport for approximately 20 years. Later, as he transitioned into civilian life, he worked for World Airways flight crew for 17 years and finally with Western Global Airways, where he was a dedicated employee with many years of service and countless hours of inflight mechanic services. In September of 2018, Michael went out on a Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) for a routine knee injury, only to discover during his pre-op that he had an aneurysm on his descending Aorta requiring immediate heart surgery. During Michael`s surgery in November of that year, something went terribly wrong, leaving Michael in a debilitated state where he now has to rely on others to care for him. Michael has been unable to work since his surgery; he is in constant pain due to nerve damage to his spine from his original surgery. Please help to relieve some of the stress and anxiety by showing Micheal and his wife your continued love and support for them.
