Solar Spring Break
Donation protected

Help support 12 students from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill spend their spring break in the Greater Los Angeles area installing solar panels in underserved communities!
We are members of Epsilon Eta Environmental Honors Fraternity - a service oriented organization that dedicates itself to environmental stewardship. We host speakers events, volunteer throughout the community, hold benefit 5Ks, sponsor community events on campus, raise environmental awareness, go hiking, love the earth, and send groups of students to accomplish cool projects - like this one! - across the U.S.
"GRID Alternatives is a 501(c)(3) certified non-profit organization that brings together community partners, volunteers and job trainees to implement solar power and energy efficiency for low-income families, providing energy cost savings, valuable hands-on experience, and a source of clean, local energy that benefits us all."
We need to raise $5,000 to pay for the solar panels we will be installing on our trip! Every little bit counts and any money after the $5,000 listed will go towards our food and transportation costs (which we are paying out of pocket, as well!).
Thanks so much for your support. We really appreciate you supporting these communities as well as our interests in service and alternative energy!
