Solar Lights for Haitian Orphanage

We are raising money to purchase 200 MPowerd Luci solar lights that will be used by staff and students of the Canaan Christian Community in Montrouis, Haiti. Canaan provides food, housing and an education for orphaned and displaced children. Canaan also operates a clinic that is open to the public and a nutrition program for children suffering from malnourishment.
When it is overcast the classrooms, clinic, kitchen and offices are dark. At night, electricity is limited and dependent on a generator. Luci Solar Lights last up to 24-hours on a single charge and can be transported wherever needed. Canaan's Pastor and the school's Principal were thrilled by the idea of having solar lights to use throughout the property. They will literally be a game changer!
MPowerd, the manufacturers of the Luci Solar Lights, is offering Canaan a humanitarian discount (50% off MSRP, or $10 per light + shipping). The $2,500 we hope to raise will cover the purchase of 200 solar lights + shipping and luggage transport to the orphanage.
Our fundraising campaign will end July 30, 2018.
