Solange's Significant Snip (for Mme Rachelle)

It's taken FOREVER for Solange to grow her hair.  While some people are blessed to have long, luscious locks, Solange had sparse, wispy strands up until about age 3-4! Once it started growing, she was so happy, she NEVER wanted to get  a haircut! We had to talk her into getting little trims once a year!

Solange LOVES her long hair, but she loves her teacher, Mme Rachelle, even more.  Mme Rachelle has a heart the size of her class and loves each of those children as though they were her own.  Diagnosed with cancer in the fall, Mme Rachelle had to leave her 2nd grade classroom just before Christmas and had hoped to return in February after recovering from surgery.  However, after some setbacks, her doctor has advised rounds of chemotherapy and Mme Rachelle is not able to return.

Solange wanted to do something to show how much she loves Mme Rachelle and to help her out with the many costs associated with being off work and going through these grueling treatments.

Solange knew that sometimes people lose their hair when going through these treatments, and although she isn't sure Mme Rachelle would look right with dark blonde hair (lol), she wanted to cut her hair to donate to someone else who may be going through something similar.

If you would like to donate to Solange's fundraiser for Mme Rachelle as she lops off her locks, she would appreciate even $5 or whatever you can give! She set the goal for $700 because she's 7 years old.  :)

100% of the donations will go to Mme Rachelle to help as she walks through this valley.
