Frances* is a single mom who courageously left an abusive relationship to give herself and her children a better life. She is a hard worker and has been steadily employed for over ten years. She lives in a beautiful 2-bedroom apartment which she keeps immaculately clean. And she works hard to give her children what she can. Day by day, paycheck to paycheck, Frances gets by.
Recently, Frances had to have dental and orthodontic work done that she simply could not afford. Fortunately, she was able to set up a payment plan. Then her car needed to be repaired. All these unexpected expenses have impacted her greatly and depleted her savings.
With rent that continues to rise, the exorbitant cost of groceries, monthly bills and other expenses related to raising children, Frances often feels defeated and depleted. Sadly, she has been struggling with anxiety and even depression most recently.
Frances needs a lift up, a helping hand. She needs to ease her mind of the fear, worry and anxiety that often plague her. She needs to focus on living, not just surviving. She needs solace for her weary mind, body and spirit. Solace, as described by Merriam-Webster, means “1: comfort in grief; alleviation of grief or anxiety, 2: a source of relief or consolation.” THIS is the hope of this GoFundMe - to offer comfort, relief and consolation in this time of grief and great anxiety for Frances.
I have offered to create this GoFundMe for Frances as a means of lifting her up. Admittedly, this is a big ask, and a difficult one for her, but I believe it can have a lasting impact. If you feel so inclined to help a single mom find solace, please know that your gift/contribution will be used to help her get caught up on her bills, be used to pay for unexpected expenses, purchase groceries and clothing, and pay rent. Every dollar counts! There is no donation too large or too small.
