Sol's Dental Journey
Donation protected
I've conditioned myself not to smile - not because I don't want to (I do!), but because I don't want to draw attention to my teeth and gums.
The past year, I began the journey to aggressively seeking out treatment to assess the state of my oral health and begin the process of healing. This has included various visits and procedures - x-rays, two wisdom teeth extractions, multiple fillings, and deep cleaning (perio scaling and root planing).
These procedures have been what our family is calling "Phase One" of dental health. This has been the catch up work of decades of dental regression.
Although we have insurance, our family has paid out of pocket for many of the above visits and procedures - we are inviting our community to help us recover the cost we have incurred thus far in order to continue onto "Phase Two."
Phase Two continues next year. This will include quarterly visits to the dentist for ongoing assessment, cleanings, and work toward further progress to prevent tooth pain and sensitivity. Ultimately, (and hopefully) enough progress to the point where we can consider braces.
We are grateful for the encouragement we have received from our friends and our family as we have sought to correct what should have been taken care of along my growing up years.
Thank you for your support, I love you all very much!
