Hello, My name is Aaron. My fiancé Jade and I are trying to raise money to help with sol's surgery. Sol is a 1 year and 3 months old Australian Shepherd who has torn his ligaments in his knees in both of his back legs.

Back in April of this year Sol was running around at the dog park and just randomly stopped and started limping. We took him to the vet, and they told us he had ruptured his CCL.

Jade and I were just getting ready for our seasonal job to go out tree planting. The vet told us that Sol was too young for the surgery because his growth platelets in his knees were still there, so we would have to wait for this surgery until we get back from planting.

During our planting season, Sol sadly ruptured his other CCL in his other knee. There is a high chance that if one CCL goes the other will go shortly after, which is the case for us.

The insurance company will not cover either of his surgeries for us. The first knee surgery we understand because we did not have insurance for when it happened, but for the second knee we did have the insurance, but they still will not cover it because of how high the chance of injury is after one knee is injured.

The surgery is going to be $3400+HST(in Nova scotia it's 15%) per knee, so a total of $7820. We just want him to be able to play and run again.
