This is a fund to help sustain care for my clients with Medicaid to continue receiving services with the upcoming cuts to funding after the “One Big Beautiful Bill” was passed on July 3rd.
Hello, my name is Megan Queen, and I’m an LCSW and the owner of Softly Seen LLC, a private therapy practice in Fort Collins, Colorado.
I have 9 clients who use Medicaid to pay for their therapy services with me. All 9 of these beautiful human beings are bravely working with me through complex childhood abuse and systemic trauma using components of EMDR, IFS, nature-based therapy, somatic experiencing, and other trauma-informed modalities of care.
Of that 9, all identify within one or more of the following populations: LGBTQ+ folks, single mothers, veterans, BIPOC folks, physically disabled, low income.
Of that 9, every single one deserves to continue their healing journey and will need funds in order to do so.
It is time now more than ever to reweave ourselves into community and mutual aid support.
I care DEEPLY for my clients, and I intend to continue seeing as many of these clients as possible, even with the coming cuts, but trauma therapy can take years, and I am a sole practitioner who just started out in her own practice and will need financial help to do so.
If you have any questions about me and my work with clients, I am happy to share more, and you can also view my professional bio here: Softly Seen LLC website
All funds raised will go toward providing weekly therapy to a client who has lost Medicaid.
Throughout the lifetime of my practice, I intend to keep this fund open to help me continue offering accessible therapy care through pro bono or reduced cost sessions as much as possible.
Immense gratitude to all donors for showing my clients that community will show up for them.
Love and Hope are the Revolution.
You are the Revolution.
