Sofija has been diagnosed with Leukemia C91.0

Sofia was a happy and healthy child until November 2020. Her parents took her to the Maternal and Child Health Care Institute for a check-up due to liver problems.

A couple of days later, Sofija was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukemia known as C91.0 leukemia lymphoblastic acute when she was only one year old. Sofija now has three years. She is a kind, loving and vibrant kid full of life, and this has been a terrifying and challenging experience for her and her family, especially for her older brother.

For those of you who do not know me, my name is Milan Disljenkovic. My wife, Aleksandra, and I have been good friends with Marko and Suzana Karadzic for many years, and we have had the pleasure of getting to know their beautiful family. Aleksandra and I have started a GoFundMe campaign to help offset expenses related to medical needs, travel expenses and future needs for Sofija Karadzic and the entire Karadzic family.

Sofija underwent chemotherapy for seven months, after which further treatment continued at home with regular check-ups and the hope that the disease would never return.

At the beginning of September 2022, leukemia returned, and for Sofia, The treatment plan calls for additional chemotherapy and bone marrow transplantation are the only cure and hope for her life. This procedure of bone marrow transplantation is costly, and the family cannot cover the costs of treatment alone and is asking all people of goodwill to help them so that Sofia gets a chance for a normal life.

She needs funds for a bone marrow transplant, treatment, check-ups, as well as travel and accommodation expenses.

The Karadzic is a fantastic family, and we want to do what we can to help them through this challenging time.
