Sofia Mai Beidleman, daughter of Janaye Powers and Gary Beidleman, is a brave 3-year-old girl, who on September 1st, 2023, was diagnosed with pre-B cell A-L-L leukemia. Her journey and fight towards recovery is about to begin and she needs our support now more than ever.

It’s awful — there’s no other way to describe it. While there’s no monetary value that will make up for what they’re about to go through… (the tears, the sleepless nights because she feels icky from medicine, days hoping a sniffle is only a sniffle and not something more…Hours spent reading how to best take care of her, meds meds and more meds, countless appointments and procedures to prepare her for, waiting for her to fall asleep so she doesn't see tears or fear)…

Our goal is to take away some of that pain or alleviate the burdens on her family during this challenging time through this page and Facebook alike.

This September, as we coincide with Leukemia Awareness Month, please join us in making a difference in Sofia's life. Your donations will help provide crucial support in various ways, including:

1. Meal Assistance or Meal Train: Hospital stays can be lengthy and emotionally draining. To ensure Sofia's family can focus on her care, we will be requesting Doordash gift cards (and other meal delivery services like UberEats, etc.) to provide them with meals during their time at the hospital. 2. Cleaning Supplies: Keeping a clean and safe environment is paramount, especially given Sofia's compromised immune system. Your donations will help supply the family with cleaning essentials to maintain a sterile and hygienic space in their home.

3. COVID-19 Testing: The ongoing pandemic adds an extra layer of complexity to Sofia's treatment. We aim to provide the family with the necessary COVID-19 tests to ensure Sofia's safety and reduce the risk of complications during her treatment.

4. Gas Donation: A gas donation will help ease the financial burden of transportation for Sofia's family as they make the necessary trips back and forth to the hospital.

5. Donations to make Sofia more comfortable at her home as their family embarks on this unfortunate and challenging journey. We’d like Sofia to feel as much like a kid as possible, and a part of that is making sure her home can be fun, safe, and playful.
