Well, here goes!!!! I am going to attempt to go from the comfort of my sofa!! To the top of pen y fan mountain in wales. Not something I could ever think of as fun but unfortunately, for a poor choice in friends (who are fit and enjoy this kind of thing) I have been talked into doing… Anyone who knows me knows I don’t even walk to the shop so this is definitely going to go way beyond my boundaries!! With that being said, if I am to to attempt this, I would like to do it for a good cause. And just like that I came across a story of a lovely young girl and her family who have been dealing with some challenging news on their daughter Ellie’s health. Ellie was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour, after initially being told that ‘everything looks fine’ so as you can imagine has come as a massive devastating shock, to not only her but her family and friends too… Ellie is going through radiotherapy atm, So I would like to do what I can and raise as much as I can for a family and girl who really do need abit of help to help make the most precious memories ! So on the 4th of October, my very very poor choice of so called best mates are going to hike 11 miles to the top and back down of pen y fan mountain… and will be taking me, there over weight, unfit, un healthy, high blood pressure and cholesterol, ruined back and knees, with them!!! So please, I know money is tight for everyone at the moment. But if everyone who reads this donates just a little, it will make a real difference to a family that really do need a break. Just for info I do not know Ellie or her family and have never met them. But if I can do anything I can to help someone out and complete this challenge. then anybody can do anything for a stranger who’s in need. And in this day and age we live in at the moment. That’s rare! So please make this trek for me as easy as it can be and get me a grand total I can happily pass on to another person who needs it more than we do… thank you ❤️
