I am starting this go fund me for my sister and brother in law. They are pregnant with twins and have been faced with some complications in the pregnancy and are at risk of delivering them too soon. Gabrielle is 22 weeks, 2 days pregnant & preterm labor has started. Here is some back story from her husband, Adam...
My wife and I started trying for conception shortly after our marriage and quickly ran into fertility issues. We went through many tests, medications, and exams finally conceiving after using I.U.I. in February soon after we received the most exciting news that we were pregnant with twins! We were thrilled and eager to get things ready for our two little pumpkins. Shortly after, we began to experience more complications and difficulties with the pregnancy. These symptoms included high blood pressure, and on the week of June 16, we were met with a shortened cervix. We were then referred to another specialist for the cervix to have another appointment. We found at that appointment the cervix was shortened further and given anywhere from several days to 30 days for delivery the goal was to try and reach 24 weeks at least . On June 28th, 3 days later, while still at only 22 weeks, we woke up at 4 am to contractions. We rushed to St. Lukes to discover we had started dilating. After hours, many conversations, and frustrations later, we were determined to save our two little pumpkins. To do this, we needed to be transferred to Minneapolis. However, no ambulance would touch the transfer. Finally, after 4 hours, we were cleared for Life Flight to our destination.
Now they are being faced with medical bills, the worry of the babies & their health, and Gabrielle’s health. Adam has to be off of work & they will have the bills at home that will be needed to be paid.
