Socorro Gozum's Medical Expenses Fund

On September 5th, 2018 my Mother, Soccoro Gozum, was diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy. She is a Stage 3 breast cancer survivor, and this is an unfortunate side effect of long term Chemo/Radiation Therapy. The Cardiomyopathy has caused her to most recently develop a severe case of Pulmonary Edema, and Edema in her Limbs as well.

For the past few months, she has been in and out of Hospitals back home in the Philippines, so that Doctors could drain fluids out of her body. She had also developed opened wounds and sores on her legs and buttocks that needed to be treated immediately, and till this day are still not fully healed.

As most of you who are familiar with 3rd World Countries know, Medical Insurance is pretty much non-existent, and patients are forced to pay out of pocket in most cases (if you can afford treatment that is). My Father, who was diagnosed with Congestive heart failure about 2 months ago, is currently not working. This has been a huge financial burden for myself and my brother, and we have pretty much depleted all of our resources. My Mother has no one else to rely on but us...

Last night, on 7/12/19, she was admitted once again to a Hospital for the 6th time, and we are being told by Doctors that her Organs are failing. According to them, the only way to prolong her life is by performing a hemodialysis which of course is not covered by Insurance. If performed, this Medical procedure will cost an astronomical amount of money.

I will be flying out to the Philippines shortly to be with my Mother, so  my boyfriend will be helping me manage this Campaign while I'm away. Any amount that is donated will be greatly appreciated.
