Working on re-issuing the 'Sociedad=Suciedad" compilation on vinyl for the first time. It was originally released in 1997 on CD only by BYO Records and is long out of print.

This reissue will be a double record album on 180-gram vinyl.

All of the original songs from AZTLAN UNDERGROUND, BLUES EXPERIMENT, OLLIN, OZOMATLI, and QUINTO SOL will finally be on vinyl.

As with many reissues, there will also be BONUS tracks.

Doing this to coincide with the exhibit, 'A Great Day in East L.A.' at La Plaza de Cultura de Artes opening on June 28, 2025.

The exhibit celebrates the rich musical history of East L.A. - from Lalo Guerrero to Santa Cecilia and everything in between.

This album is a snapshot of a time before social media.

A time when grassroots organizations, progressive political groups, artists, marginalized peoples, and politically charged bands from the Eastside and beyond exploded onto the late 90's scene with music, art, poetry, teatro and more....

The length of the album requires it to be a double LP, which is expensive.

Every person contributing $40 and above will get a copy of the LP.

Proceeds above goal to benefit 'A Great Day in East LA' programming throughout the exhibition which ends in August 2026. If goal not met, all proceeds go to 'A Great Day in East LA' programming.
