Socialist propaganda for James' election

I grew up in one of many diverse working class housing estates in Dundalk and experienced how we have been continuously neglected by successive governments. That significantly shaped my politics so I’ll run for a platform to speak up for our areas. The deep levels of solidarity but also the violence of poverty, austerity and alienation existing side by side.
I worked in finance for years and saw how inhumane it all is saving up to return to college whilst friends emigrated. The genocide in Palestine was a radicalising moment for me. The same imperialist system that brutalises the Palestinians is the same system that keeps working class people here in poverty.
The long standing social issues in Ireland are caused by the profound levels of inequality and exploitation within society. Dividers are trying to split working class areas in Dundalk and across the island, distorting the causes of deprivation by scapegoating migrants and not the true cause the rich and the corporations. I was dismayed at loyalist collaborators welcomed down to Dundalk to divide our town in-spite of the horrors perpetrated by loyalism in the north of Ireland and here in the town in the 70’s.
There is a strength in working class solidarity that is unmatched when harnessed, it took down the water charges and can take down this landlord government and the far right too. I don’t believe change comes through the Dáil, but through mass movements of people power which I’d like to help build.
I will be campaigning on this socialist line, wholeheartedly pro-worker, explicitly anti-racist and entirely anti-landlord.
Naturally we don't have any corporate doners like other parties and rely on a people powered campaign. All funds will go towards getting genuine worker class representation in Louth
Every little helps. A €5 donation would pay for a social media ad to reach over 1000 people. A €10 donation would pay for a poster. A €20 donation can pay for 500 leaflets. With your help, we can build a strong left alternative in Louth.
Thanks,
James
