Social Justice Documentary Funding

Hey friends and family,

I am Nick Bacani, and I am a senior at Villanova University studying Communications with specializations in Media Production and Journalism.

I am currently fundraising for a class I am a part of called Social Justice Documentary. This class is an opportunity for students interested in film and social justice to be a part of something bigger than themselves.

This October, our class will be traveling to Siaya, Kenya, to amplify the voices of Siayan women through our film. In Kenya, there is currently a lack of prioritization of women's higher education and female reproductive health. With the help of the Siaya Muungano Network, a non-profit that advocates for equal opportunity for women, our film will hope to bring awareness to the stories of the Siayan women.

Currently, we are funding to help with the travel, equipment, and to help the Siaya Muungano Network. To best amplify these women's stories, we need as much funding as we can get. Although we leave in October, funds will be helpful for our initiative and the post-production process. If you can donate, it would be more than appreciated by our class and the women of Siaya.
