You might have heard that recently a family, The Jones, in Long Valley suffered a tragedy as their house burned down in the middle of the night.  Thankfully, nobody was harmed, and now they are starting to rebuild and repurchase the possessions that were lost.  Two days after the fire, the son, who is a Long Valley Rec Soccer participant was most concerned about the loss of his jersey.  The league was able to replace the jersey, but as an organization, we would like to do more.  And that is where you come in.  

As an organization, we do not require any fundraising during the season; however, we think this is an opportunity for us to leverage the power of the organization to help out a family in need.  What we’re requesting is a donation and if every player in the league can donate at least $5, we will be able to raise over $2,000.  In addition, the league plans to match the first $500 raised.  100% of the proceeds will be distributed to the family.
