My name is William, I am 16 years old and I have played soccer since I was 5.  I love soccer and would play it every day if I could.  My dream is to play first at the collegiate level and than to play professionally either in Europe or the USA some day. 

My soccer career had me enter the competitive club system when I was 10 and I now play on an Academy U18 team.  This is 2 years above where I should be playing, but I love being challenged and believe my experience at this level has prepared me for the next level.

I was invited to play for Marbella United FC, located in Marbella, Spain next year.  MUFC is an Academy style program that will also allow me to continue my high school studies every day.  If I raise enough funds, I will need to report in mid-August 2019 to Marbella Spain.

The reason that I am raising funds is that this training program is not free.  My parents are helping as much as they can, but with 2 other brothers, there is a lot of demand on our household income.  This summer I will be holding a Spaghetti dinner, a golf tournament and a duck race to help out with fund raising. 

For this reason, I am starting Soccer Hope LLC with my parents.  A partnership that will help kids fulfill their dreams of playing soccer at the next level even when finances are tight.  I hope that Soccer Hope grows and we are able to give more and more kids the opportunity to either play locally on a team or even at an Academy like I am trying to get to.    We can't create a charity, as the fund raising will be used for my training and that is against IRS rules.  99.99% of all funds raised will be used to pay for either my training fees or the training fees of local  children in soccer programs.

By May 1 we will also have a website setup at soccerhope.org.
