Soca Explosion YG Materials

Hi.

My name is Zeneca & I am the troupe leader for a group called Soca Explosion YG.

We are a group that takes part in many Carnivals around different cities In England. Our aim has always been to get the young generation off the street and be a part of fun activities. We want them to be in a safe space or a safe environment. We have an event on (Manchester Carnival) on the 10th August and so far I have 50 participants including some adults of the community and being a part of the group to join in the parade. We want everyone to enjoy themselves. Have fun. Wear costumes. Even win prizes and to show the community that when we’re all together, we are one.

The funds will be used for the participants tops and bottoms/T-Shirts and for also water to have on the road. They will be participating in making their own costumes giving them something to look forward to and also dancing.

We haven't been receiving any funding from the council and any little helps ☺️
