About My Father

My father, Sobuj Mia, 55 years old, is a kind, hardworking, and loving man who has always taken care of everyone around him. Today, he is fighting for his life in the Surgical ICU at United Hospital, Dhaka, after a devastating road accident that left him with critical brain injuries.

What Happened

On 2nd September 2025, my father suffered a severe road traffic accident, resulting in:

Massive bleeding in the brain (intracerebral hemorrhage)

Multiple rib fractures (4th, 5th, and 6th ribs)

Fracture of the right clavicle

He has undergone multiple major brain surgeries, including decompressive craniotomies on both sides of his brain to remove large blood clots and reduce pressure. Despite all efforts, his recovery has been slow and complicated.

Current Condition

After several surgeries and weeks in the ICU, my father developed a serious lung infection and pneumonia, along with acute kidney injury (AKI).

He has already undergone 11 dialysis sessions to support his failing kidneys.

He is still unconscious and on mechanical ventilation, receiving continuous oxygen support, dialysis, and powerful antibiotics.

Doctors have informed us that he will need a prolonged and costly ICU stay for any chance of recovery. His condition remains critical but stable, and we continue to pray for his healing every single day.

Why We Need Your Help

Each day in the ICU costs around 1.5–1.7 lakh BDT, covering life support, dialysis, antibiotics, and essential medicines.

Our family has already spent 36 lakh BDT — all our savings and borrowed funds — but his treatment must continue.

We are now at a point where we can no longer bear the financial pressure alone.
