Soaring After Service is a nonprofit in development with one simple mission: to give veterans the opportunity to experience the peace and freedom of silent flight through gliding—completely free of charge.

As a disabled Iraq Combat Veteran, I know that healing doesn't always happen in a doctor's office. Sometimes it begins with a change in perspective.

Astronauts often describe something called the Overview Effect—a profound shift in the way they see Earth after viewing it from space. While a glider doesn't fly to orbit, soaring offers its own unique perspective. Thousands of feet above the ground, the noise fades away, the horizon stretches for miles, and the land we once swore to defend takes on a new meaning.

My hope is to give fellow veterans the opportunity to reconnect with that land, with themselves, and with a sense of peace that can be difficult to find after military service.

Every donation helps cover flight costs, aircraft rental, instructor fees, insurance, and the other expenses required to provide these life-changing glider experiences at no cost to the veterans who have earned them.
