Help our award-winning team create our next film project, which will be submitted to the Washington, D.C. 48 Hour Film Project.
NOTE: PLEASE SEE UPDATES FOR REWARD TIERS
Our filmmaking mission is to tell stories that don't rely on problematic stereotypes. We uncover universal truths that underpin our films, and ultimately, we challenge ourselves to surprise our audience and leave them with something to consider about themselves. People are giving us their time, so we want to connect in a meaningful way - during only a handful of minutes.
So far, we think we have a good thing going here! Our film The Trip won Best Film of 2017 in DC for the 48 Hour Film Project, and went on to compete internationally, where our composer won Best Original Music out of thousands of submissions. We've taken home many technical awards for best editing, cinematography, best sequence, best ensemble cast, original score, and best direction. Our short film The Last Meal won Best Drama in 2018, and our 2019 film .wav won the Impact Award at the DC 48 for handling an important and topical issue. Our most recent film, Mi Casa Es Su Casa, won Best Film for the 72 Hour International Horror Film Race, which we made the weekend before the U.S. went into isolation due to the Covid pandemic.
We hope to continue to pursue our passion together and make more films. If you're still reading this, you've likely supported us a time or two before. We haven't previously asked for financial support, so we're awkward here, but feeding our cast and crew, renting equipment, paying for travel, securing locations for shooting, sourcing costumes and makeup - and even submitting to the film festival itself - adds up quickly. Every dollar helps us realize our dreams and execute our creative vision - and keeps us happy and fed on set.
We're just a humble team of buns, but we're proud of how our stories are brought to life by everyone on the team. From the writing to the performances, the editing to the original soundtrack, the sound design, the graphic design, the lighting, and the cinematography, each of the talented people behind these films pour their heart and energy - and own dollars - into every aspect.
We couldn't be more thankful to have the opportunity to work with one another and leave each experience feeling more inspired, fulfilled and fortunate.
Thank you.
