So Long and Thanks for all the Fence.

Donation protected
What a journey. I sometimes wish I had a Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy to reference ( Did you get the joke in the title? No.. Look up So long and thanks for all the fish). But I guess life doesn't come with one.

I have had so many people ask me about what is going on and how they can help. So, Here it is. The condensed what happened what can we do version.

This is a really, really, really long story. At the end of the day what it boils down to is that the Railroad has billions, and I have about 94¢ in my pocket today. So, they think they can do what they want because I can't afford to fight them.

They put a fence through our parking lot, cut off our outdoor space and are claiming our brew building as theirs. Mind you, for 1.5 years they have not been able to provide any documentation showing they own the land they have claimed.

Sometimes, you have to know when to (as another gentleman in town that has fought them told me) “just live to fight another day.”

So, we have a couple options.

Option 1 - We are trying to work with them so we can temporarily lease (maybe our own land, isn't that fun) the property. Maybe this is where we stay, maybe we can expand to property beside us and not behind us. or maybe, this buys us time to figure it out.

Option 2 - We are looking for another location to move to.

sigh, hiss, boo, groan, gag. Get the picture of how I feel about that? I spent almost 2 years fixing this place.. Making it mine, making it something special for Seneca and everyone else around that has been here. I sank everything I had into this place and the thought of moving makes me sick.

As another wise sage said.
When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.

So, Maybe this is an opportunity for us to grow. We are cramped, out of space, have terrible parking, limited on what we can do and host and on and on. So maybe, just maybe we can stomach through the pains of option 2 and be better for it. As you can imagine, those pains are scary.

That's where you come in, we haven't made it to where we are without every single one of you. We won't get where we are going without you either.

I hate asking, I hate handouts, I prefer to be the bootstrap guy. But sometimes a guy has to get by with just a little help from my friends. ( I know another one, sorry.)

We are raising the money to offset lawyer fees and hopefully be able to afford a new location. Fix up a building? Build a building? I don't know. We are looking, talking, thinking, dreaming, and searching for the answers. But we just haven't found what we are looking for. ( I'll stop after that one I promise , but honestly did you go back and sing the tune in your head?).

As my wise father told me so many times, there's almost nothing time and money can't fix. We have neither. So I decided to put pride aside. Step up and just ask.

What's the worst people can say? No?

So here is what I'm asking.

We are trying to raise at least enough for a down payment on something. $25k, Beyond that, it would be awesome to raise enough to offset the cost of the building and remodel with anything over the 25k.

Do you want and or are you willing to donate? Awesome. Any amount is amazing.

  • Donate $500 or more and get a custom Mug ( these will take a couple months to get hand made but we promise you will get it.) Similar to these. But different.

  • Donate $250 or more and send me your size and I'll get you a custom shirt.

  • Can't donate that amount.. we get it. How about $5 or $10 or $20? Anything helps.

  • Don't want to donate - We still love you. How about buying some merch in the Tap Room?

  • No merch? Ok still good.. How about just drinking more delicious beer made here and eating some amazing food.

  • No matter what you can or can't do, we love you all for just reading my dribble. So many of you have become our friends and family over the past almost 2 years. We hope and pray we get to continue serving you for many many more to come.

I'll try to keep everyone updated on our Track 94 Brewery website under the blogs section.
There are a few there already about our opening story and some other just random info I wanted to jot down. If you can't sleep they may help.

Or come see me live and in person behind the bar or in the kitchen almost every day we are open.

To say I'm super excited to start this new journey would be a lie, but with you guys by my side it may just be alright. As the wise Aerosmith said "Life's a Journey, not a destination". (I know Emerson said it, I just like it better to music). So, I'm ready to start the Journey to see what life brings. Question is, Are you coming along for the ride?
