Toni McRrae has worked relentlessly, made countless sacrifices, and never stopped chasing her dream of becoming a veterinarian. Now, that dream is at risk of being taken away.
We met in veterinary school, and from the very beginning I couldn’t help but admire her. Watching Toni work, support those around her, and show up day after day with quiet determination made it impossible not to care deeply about her. I love her so much—not just as a friend, but as someone I truly believe in—and I know so many of us feel the same way and want nothing more than to see her succeed.
Toni is currently continuing her veterinary education at a new
school, in another country, carrying a demanding course load and pushing herself daily to remain at the top of her class. This path has never been easy, but she has continued forward with resilience and heart.
Right now, Toni is facing an overwhelming challenge. Her savings are nearly gone, and her school has warned that if her tuition is not paid by April, she may be forced to withdraw from the program. All donations will go directly toward keeping Toni enrolled and supported—covering tuition ($18,000 per semester), rent ($1,300/month), and any remaining funds going toward food and transportation. Despite working odd jobs, living on a strict budget, and doing everything possible to avoid placing additional financial strain on her parents, these expenses have become more than she can manage alone.
What makes this even harder is that Toni is far from home, away from family and her support system. Watching someone so dedicated, kind, and passionate come this close to losing everything she has worked for is heartbreaking.
Toni would never ask for help herself, which is why I am asking on her behalf. I know how powerful community can be, and how much it means to feel supported in moments like this. Every donation—no matter the size—helps. And every share helps too. Even just spreading the word can make a real difference.
Your support will help Toni stay in school, keep moving forward towards becoming an exceptional veterinarian, and remind her that she is not alone in this fight. Thank you for being here, for sharing if you can, and for helping someone so deserving keep the dream she has been working so hard to achieve.
