Hi, my name is Laura, and I’m currently volunteering at the Charlotte Hospital in Sanya Juu, Tanzania. Today, I want to introduce you to Anita, an incredibly driven 20-year-old medical student. She’s in her third semester at the International University Kampala, with dreams of becoming a doctor and giving back to her community. However, due to the high cost of tuition, her dream is now in jeopardy.

Each semester costs around €1,200, and she needs approximately €10,000 to complete her studies. Up until now, her aunt, who also works here at the hospital, along with the Holy Spirit Sisters—who run the hospital—have helped cover her fees. Unfortunately, this support is no longer enough to cover the remaining semesters.

Anita is full of passion and determination, but without financial help, she won’t be able to continue her education. Every donation—no matter how small—will bring her closer to achieving her dream of becoming a doctor and one day saving lives herself.
