Musically Unveiling Her: Support Women in Music

Dear Friends,

I’m Valencia Neptune, founder of So Am I-Worthy, Inc a nonprofit dedicated to breaking down barriers for Christian women of color in the music industry. We are passionate about empowering women singer-songwriters to pursue their dreams, equip them with financial literacy, and create opportunities for self-sufficiency and success.

Our mission is to uplift and support these incredible women who are often overlooked, despite their immense talent and passion. While our focus is on empowering Christian women of color in music, we believe in creating a welcoming, inclusive space for all women, regardless of their race or background. We are committed to fostering a community where every woman can thrive and pursue her passion. Through mentorship, education, and performance opportunities, we help them amplify their voices—not just through their music, but also by giving them the tools to thrive as independent artists. Music is not just a career for these women; it’s a calling, a way to inspire and impact the world.

About the Gala

On December 17th, we are hosting our "Inaugural Celebration of Women and Music" Gala, an elegant event designed to highlight the talents of women singer-songwriters and raise funds to continue our mission and programs. The gala will be an introduction to who we are offer a space for creatives to share their gifts, while also helping us raise critical funds to support programs such as:

Music career mentorship and coaching

Workshops in financial literacy and business management

Performance and recording opportunities

But we can’t do it alone. We need your help to make this event a reality and continue empowering women through music.

Why We Need Your Support

Our goal is to raise over $10,000 to cover the costs of our upcoming programs "Musically Unveiling Her" a year-long program designed to elevate, empower, and equip Christian women of color in the music industry. This program is about more than just showcasing talent; it’s about giving these women the tools, resources, and support they need to thrive as independent artists and entrepreneurs. The fund will also go to support the gala costs, including the performers, catering, and materials for workshops and programming. This fundraiser is also an investment in the women we serve, ensuring they have the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed.

Your donation, no matter the amount, will directly contribute to:

Providing a platform for these women to perform and be heard

Offering workshops that teach essential financial literacy and business skills

Continuing to offer mentorship and career support for emerging women artists

Financial support for these women to continue music career pursuit

Why This Matters

These women are powerful. They are breaking stereotypes, overcoming obstacles, and using their God-given talents to make a difference. Why So Am I-Worthy?

As the founder of So Am I-Worthy, this cause is deeply personal to me. I’ve experienced firsthand the barriers that women of color, particularly Christian women, face in the music industry. I created this organization because I saw a space that was missing—one that I needed myself.

With God and my mom by my side, I chose the name "So Am I-Worthy" because I’ve struggled with feeling worthy, enough, and chosen in this space. But I’ve come to know that I am chosen by God, and I believe He has placed this calling on my life. I am here, answering that call.

I’ve witnessed the beauty and transformation that happens when barriers are broken and when a woman feels empowered and worthy enough to share her testimony. With your support, we can continue to uplift and inspire more women to step into their calling and share their voices with the world.
