Raising funds to help with travel and lodging expenses. Lindsey will soon begin 8 weeks of pro-ton radiation treatment at MD Anderson in Houston TX. She will be traveling from Columbus Ohio, I will traveling from Kansas City MO. Brett will travel back and forth from Coumbus as his residency schedule allows. Hopefully the waiting lists for reduced rate extended stay apartments will be shorter than quoted.
Lindsey has been fighting an ugly ependymoma (brain tumor) she named "Lester" since October 2007. Excruciating headaches sent here the doctor. Surgery followed. A year later "Lester Jr" arrived. The battle continued with a chemo-therapy clinica trial at MD Anderson in Houston TX. A year later when the chemo-therapy trial was no longer working, several weeks of radiation in Kansas City followed. Things have been quiet for a couple of years....or so we thought. Recent MRI's showed that "Lester" had returned and brought his ugly cousins with him to dwell in her spine! Her doctors are sending her back to MD Anderson for 8 weeks of proton radiation therapy. Thanks for helping defer some of these expenses.
