We would like to introduce you to our parents; Tabitha and Richard Meza, the two most amazing people you could ever hope to meet. It is truly incredible how much, and to what extent, they have been through, in their time serving the Lord. It is through their preserverance and faith in God, that they have been able to overcome.

In their 30 + years of pastoralship and service to The Lord; Richard and Tabitha have experienced the following:
God allowing them to build a sanctuary estimated at 1 million dollars.
God allowing them to start yet another church.
To write and self publish their book:
“Building Up The Temple, The Little Church That Could”

Tabitha has had:
3 surgeries because of TMJ (major complications of the mouth and jaw).
3 brain tumor removal operations.
Epileptic seizures for many years
4 Strokes.
Now confined to a wheelchair for a 3rd (though she will tell you she is going to walk again!)
She has been advised by her neurologist that she is likely to die within the near future from either a series of small strokes, or a brain hemorrhage.

Richard has had:
2 painful surgeries to gain the ability to have children.
Weight gain to more than 640 lbs (due to Thyroid complications) and now a weight loss of almost 240 lbs.
Borderline diabetes that almost cost him his left hand index finger (he no longer has diabetes)
Has had knee surgery.
Is about to have (3) surgeries related to his hip replacements

Since having retired as a Pastor (almost 4 years ago), Richard has dedicated himself to taking care of our Mom 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; while trying to make ends meet (trying to work whatever consulting work he has been able to pick up).
Thanks to many “angels” like good friends Victor and Liz Duarte, Pastors Juan and Irene Sanchez, Rev. and wife Alex and Rosa Arce, Ramon Barrera, Rev. Tony Suarez, Rev. George and Maria Pantages, Rev. David and Joann (Ramirez) Banda, Rev. Frank and Rebecca Pena, and so many others; one way or another (by God's mercy) they have been able to somehow survive; just able to stay above water.
But now our Parents face the biggest challenge of their lives, because in the next few months our Dad must have 3 surgeries (related to the hip replacements) he needs to have in order to be able to function normally again. Because of this, he will be very limited on what little consulting work. he is able to get; but more importantly, our Parents will need to find somebody to take care of my Mom (remember: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week) while our Dad is operated on and while he goes to the recovery process.
This is why we have established the Tabitha and Richard Meza Fund; because in the almost 39 years of marriage that they have dedicated their lives to the Lord; they have always tried to do their best to look after God's People. They are not, (and would never ask) for themselves; but as their Sons and Daughter, we ask, that if over the years, these two remarkable people, have somehow blessed or positively impacted your life, in any way, that if you might consider being a blessing and or positively impacting their lives in their time of need.
We want to thank you all in advance for your prayers, support and donations. We will definitely be giving regular updates on their situation; as our Dad starts the process of his surgeries and subsequent recovery. Thank you and may God bless you.
