Rescue dogs have always been a part of my life. My gran and grandad have given loving homes to rescue dogs for as long as I can remember, and thanks to Cheshire Dogs Home, they rehomed my childhood best friend — Ben. He was truly one of a kind and such a huge part of my life growing up. We lost him a couple of years ago, and he left a Ben-shaped hole in my heart that will never fully close. His love is a big part of the reason rescue work means so much to me today.

I didn’t have the easiest start in life. I dropped out of college and absolutely hated high school, always feeling like I didn’t quite fit in. Later on, I found out I have autism and ADHD, which helped me finally understand why things had always felt that bit harder. Alongside that, I’ve struggled with my mental health for as long as I can remember.

Everything began to change when I was 19 and decided to start my own dog walking and pet care business. It gave me purpose, structure, and something that truly made me happy. The dogs I care for every day have brought so much light into my life — more than I can ever explain. They helped me rebuild myself, and step by step, my world became brighter.

Now my business is thriving, and I’m in a much healthier, happier headspace. I finally feel in a position to give back and do something meaningful with the life and career that dogs helped me build.

Recently, my business has had the honour of collaborating with the most amazing rescue centre I have ever visited. Seeing their work up close reminded me why rescue charities are so important. These organisations give dogs the second chances they deserve — safe places, full bowls, warm beds, and families who love them forever.

This March, my partner and I will be climbing Snowdon, and every penny we raise will go directly to Manchester & Cheshire Dogs Home to help them continue their incredible work.

Thank you so much for your support. It genuinely means the absolute world to me.

Let’s change these doggos’ lives together — every pup deserves a warm, loving home.
