Snowdon Summit for Macmillan ♀️
In May me and my partner Ben will be going away to Wales, during this trip we will be taking on Snowdon. I work at Rabbit Patch Day Nursery I will be represented them during this walk but I will also be representing the owner Alex. This is her story.
“Just before Christmas 24’ I was diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal cancer after having dealt with headache and neck aches for nearly 2 years, I also discovered a lump in my neck in nov 24’ which is what started the cancer pathway off. I started treatment in Jan 25’ just after turning 36. My prescribed plan was a Chemotherapy for the first few months followed by radiotherapy for the last month and a half. I now have a feeding tube as eating and swallowing has become too painful from the radiotherapy. My treatment finish end of April 25’ and have a few months of recovery after. Having 2 young children at home and aging parents with their own health issues has made the journey harder at time but I am thankful for friends and family that have helped along the way. I run Rabbit Patch Day Nursery and the team there have been amazing at keeping everything running smoothly while I concentrate on getting better.”
As well as Alex I have had people close to me who have had to under go treatment like this and fight so choosing Macmillan was easy. We both appreciate any and all donations for this and we would be grateful if you could share this to spread it further. Thank you.
