In October last year, a dear friend of ours experienced their first seizure whilst driving his family home from lunch. After multiple tests and scans, he was unfortunately diagnosed with a Brain Tumour.

Darren had no prior symptoms or health concerns and understandably following this, his whole life has been flipped upside down. He has been having intense Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy but the brutal reality is, there is no cure.

Amongst this horrendous battle, Darren has done an amazing job to raise awareness of how Brain Cancer remains the most underfunded Cancer with the most outdated treatment plan in the country. Therefore, a group of us at AXA Manchester are planning to hike Mount Snowdon on 18th June 2025 to raise funds for The Brain Tumour Charity.
