On July 11th 2026 my amazing Husband will be taking part in the Snowdon 24 ultra marathon (as many ascents and descents as possible in 24 hours).
He is raising money for a charity close to our hearts that needs a lot more support and acknowledgement than it currently has. Pregnancy Sickness Support (PSS) help women and family's who are experiencing a HG pregnancy by offering free peer support from their team of incredible volunteers and provide information that allows those suffering to advocate for themselves when their medical team wont help.
Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) is a severe form of pregnancy sickness that goes far beyond typical nausea and vomiting. It can cause constant sickness, dehydration, weight loss, and often requires medical treatment or hospital care. HG can be physically and mentally exhausting, leaving many women unable to work, care for their families, or carry out daily life. For many women, it can be isolating, traumatic, and incredibly difficult to cope with, both physically and mentally.
Around 30,000 women a year are affected by HG, with almost 70% of sufferers being bedridden, and a 80-90% chance of HG reoccurring in subsequent pregnancies, but still the treatment options available are few and far between, with many being inaccessible for many women due to lack of understanding of the condition.
Please help by donating to this amazing charity who continue to support thousands of women.
More information about Pregnancy Sickness Support: Founded as a Charitable Trust in 2002, Pregnancy Sickness Support is a registered UK charity working to improve care, treatment and support for women suffering from Nausea and Vomiting in Pregnancy and the severe form of the condition; Hyperemesis Gravidarum.
