Snowbear Needs Your Help: Donate Now
Donation protected
Steven Taylor, better known to his friends and family as Snowbear, recently returned to the United States from St. Croix to recover from an accident with the support of family.
In a stroke of misfortune, the home he had planned on staying in has now been foreclosed on by the bank, and there currently isn't another long term option for housing.
Snowbear devoted his life to outdoor education; and through his life touched many of us with his crafts, his botanical wisdom, his music, and his laughter. His work brought him all over the globe; from the sleepy NC/TN/GA tristate, to medical conferences in California, to the stages of South Africa.
A great many of us owe our appreciation of nature, our introduction to indigenous peoples & music, and our bush-skills to his gentle guiding hand. If you have ever had the distinct honor of having your life touched by him, or even if you just appreciate those who make it their mission to educate the world, please donate in his hour of need.
We are hoping to fund a long term housing solution for him that will also still enable his outdoor work across the country once he recovers. A tow-behind camper is our goal, and we would be absolutely open to a donated camper if someone has one to donate. Donation would preferably be near Young Harris GA, but if not near there we can figure out transporting him and his truck to the camper or vice versa.
Thank you for your time and your support.
