Snowball’s continued care

Hi,
My beautiful cat went missing mid July, the same week I had to move across the country to start as a doctor. This couldn’t be pushed back otherwise I’d have been unemployed for a year. After two months, snowie was found. He was extremely emaciated and on deaths door, weighing 1kg. Unfortunately I was out of the country when he was found.
I got snowie when I became irreparably estranged from my family (most not all), and spent a Christmas alone. I told myself he would be the thing that keeps me going and I’d alwyas do my best by him. I still think that.
He was so poorly when he came in but was purring and trying. I had to keep going. But he couldn’t sit up, couldn’t walk, couldn’t use the litter tray.
The next day he could sit up. The day after he could take steps. However he has serious neurological dysfunction. We’ve tried treating for toxoplasmosis, thiamine deficiency, B12 deficiency. He has a high resp rate and his CXR was clear.
There is a change of progress. However unfortunately I had cancelled his pet insurance a day before he was found and they wont pay out. The bill was over £2000 which I had put on a credit card. This is to help me with his vet fees going forward. He deserves the best chance. Many people asked me to set one up for him.
