Snoopy is fighting for his life and needs your help!
The Quintero family offered to foster Snoopy about a year ago when they met him at the shelter, because he was scheduled to be euthanized. Their intention was to save his life and care for him until a loving permanent home could be found. Like many of us, they became "foster failures" Snoopy loved them and they loved Snoopy!
Last week mom noticed that Snoopy was too mellow, he seemed like he was sick. She took him to the vet, who proceeded to take some x-rays. The vet quickly discovered that Snoopy had swallowed a sharp object that was lodged in his colon. Surgery was the only option to save his life. Once again, the Quintero family went about saving Snoopy's life. Despite not knowing where they would find $2000 (the estimate) how could they let Snoopy down? Committed to helping their family member, mom raised $200 and has applied for a small loan. The Quinteros are a humble family who live in South Los Angeles and are low income. They need to raise a total of $1700 to pay off the veterinarian that saved Snoopy's life. This is a discounted rate and included the emergency room. He is still not safe yet, he needs to heal and gain strength before we know that Snoopy will make a full recovery. We know there are a lot of good causes out there to donate to but we hope that you consider donating $20 or more to fund Snoopy's surgery.
