Remember Snoopy? I was at my vets office with my cat and someone brought him in to be euthanized. I asked if I could have him to rehome and the owner agreed. The vet explained to me that Snoopy needed surgery that his office could not do - and referred me to a specialist in Anchorage. I drove him up and they gave me an estimate for $9000. I started a go fund me for him then but did not raise enough for his surgery before winter. Due to an accident, I don’t drive up in the winter anymore. I took him to a new local Dr. to see if he could do it - he could not - but he gave me a new referral for a different Dr. in Anchorage. I brought him up last week and they said they could do it and the cost would only be around $5000! I raised about $1000 so I’m asking for help raising the other $4000. He is just the best dog and deserves to live a long and happy, healthy life! He has a bilateral perineal hernia, and can’t defecate on his own. I feed him him soft foods and have to press on the hernia while he goes. It’s been a lot - but he is worth it! So so smart, the BEST recall! He will be looking for his person as soon as he is healed, I love him and he certainly loves me - but I have 4 of my own and he so deserves his own person. He is so loving and protective, friendly with all people and animals - just the bestest boy! Please help me help him. And if you can’t give, please share! His surgery is scheduled for October 9th!
