We're sorry to share that Sammy suffered a motorcycle accident on Sunday, April 11, 2021. The collision was with a moving vehicle and resulted in critical damage to his liver, heart, and a few of his bones in his arms and legs.
Sammy was able to receive immediate medical and emergency response attention has now undergone three successful surgeries to his liver, heart, and fibula and he's currently recovering in the Trauma ICU. Thankfully, he is expected to make a full recovery but it will be a long, hard road. We know that Sammy is up for the challenge, but he will need as much support as he can get.
Ask:
We want to be very clear that first and foremost, the ask here is for your prayers. This community believes in the power of prayer and we just ask that you keep Sammy and his recovery close to your heart.
We never expect this kind of accident to happen to our loved ones, so unfortunately we are not prepared.
The second ask is to Sammy’s community for any support that you can offer. We ask for us to all reflect on who our community and networks are made of so we can lean into one another and tap into our own resources.
Whether that be monetary donations or any of the below resources, we welcome any support.

We are working hard to try to take care as much of the logistics of the accident so that Sammy can focus on his healing. We can’t wait to see Sammy healthy and happy and we are sure he will get there with all of the support and love from each one of you.
