Donazione protetta
Why hello there!
We have finally reached our final chapter at San Diego State University, and we have been fortunate enough to make some amazing films along the way.
AND NOW.
Our thesis project, A Sniff, A Lick & a Taste, written by Craig Horlbeck and Sam Skolnik, has won the coveted Wally! Award and was granted $2,000 to make our film! It is a humbling and exciting honor to recieve such a significant grant in order to help make our film a damn Oscar winner. This film is being directed by David Ledwith, produced by Daniel Galuppo and Anna Silva, shot by Scott Granlund, with Will Boettcher handling the art direction and production design. This accomplished crew has grown as friends and filmmakers throughout their 4 years at school and are primed to make this film a tremendous success.
Unfortunately, our film has a standing budget of $4,350 which includes:
1. Actors compensation
2. Location permits
3. Location set dressing
4. Costumes which are central to this film.
5. Catering to feed our wonderful crew.
6. Equipment such as special lenses and steadycams.
7. Materials to decorate our set.
8. Finally we neeed funds to submit this completed film to film festivals.
Here is why you should help this fine group of young blossoming filmmakers.
1. Our script, (AWARD WINNING SCRIPT), sorry, still a little shell shocked from the award), is fantastic.
Our story follows two animals, a dog, Bo and cat, Mickey, (played by a man and woman dressed in full body animal costumes), who have escaped from prison, and decided to rid themselves of their domestic backgrounds and attempt to survive in the woods as "wild animals".
The two characters struggle with survival, as well as with each others personalities, which leads to the delusional prison guard capturing them.
Throughout their journey in the woods, which involves peeing on berries, a deer with a paintbrush, and a couple of magic mushrooms, Bo and Mickey have grown to become great friends with a mutual respect for one another. As they are escorted through the prison, back to their cells, they spot an open door leading to freedom, at the end of a hallway. They share a glance, and a smile, and make a break for it, off to their next adventure.
2. Here's some awesome facts about this film.
-We're filming in Laguna Mountains at Cleveland National Park
-A prison cell block is being built for us in a studio!
-All of our characters will be dressed in state of the art custom animal costumes.
-We also won an $800 grant from the Kathleen Kennedy Grant!
-Our crew had been best friends since freshman year and this is our final chance to make something we know can be great.
Just to make sure you know, this film is a comedy. We love comedy, and have persued the many themes associated with comedy throughout our careers. We love it!!!!!
The goal of our film is to change the perception of college comedy films. We want to show the world that not only can comedies make you laugh, but also inspire, and amaze you with a story that contains genuine sentiment.
Here are our extremely talented actors.
Bo (the dog) - Michael Gmur

Mickey (the cat) - Belle Adams

The Guard - Alexander Ameen

We really are looking forward to making this film the absolute best it can be, and we hope you are too!
