Snicks Health Crisis
Donation protected
I'll get right to the point, I can't save my cats life without help. It embarrasses me to have to ask but I am confident she will not survive without treatment. Snick has been dealing with ongoing acute health issues since March. First (3/17) she showed symptoms of a UTI which I took her to the ER for. The urine sample was inconclusive but they sent her home with antibiotics. Then on 4/5 she developed an intestinal blockage due to hairballs compacting. Back to the ER we went and they removed the blockage. Then one week ago, she started acting strangely. By the next day (4/30) she was rushed back to the ER after vomiting and defecating blood in large amounts. All testing was inconclusive aside from a blood test showing anemia due to blood loss and slightly elevated white blood cell count. We were sent home with Carafate to coat the stomach as an ulcer was suspected. I brought her to a non emergency vet on Friday (5/1) and they ran more tests. Everything has come back the same except that the anemia and platelet counts are concerning. She has had ongoing stomach issues and pain which causes her to be awake and pacing around the house throughout every night. The vet and I have scheduled an ultrasound for tomorrow morning, which is estimated to be between $838 and $1,098 depending on if she needs a sedative or will sit for it. (She will need the sedative if I know my cat lol). I have exhausted every bit of funds or credit I had. I have borrowed over $1500 that I need to pay back. I have sold nearly all of the concert tickets I had and cancelled festival plans for the summer preemptively. All of my savings, my little tips jar I was saving for a rainy day, my coins have been rolled, I have even rolled my state quarter collection for an added $20 and I still don't have the $ for this tomorrow. Please consider helping me get to the root of this issue for snick so she can be treated. After tomorrow I will be over $5500 in a hole total, but am only asking the amount of tomorrows ultrasounds and what the vet estimated her continued care may look like over the coming weeks. If you know me you know this cat is my entire life, my best friend, and all I really have. Please help me save my baby. Thank you.
