Snickerdoodle has had a rough start but now needs two complex surgeries. She is a fighter and we want to help her.

Each leg is estimated to cost $4.8k to fix in surgery, and she requires another heart echo soon to check how her heart is healing. Total estimated cost by the specialist is $12k.

Snickerdoodle's story:

She spent most of her life on the streets of Springvale as a colony matriarch, likely after being dumped when pregnant.

She was found heavily pregnant late 2024. As a couple weeks progressed she didn't give birth and started getting sick. She had an emergency c section at Avonsleigh Vet Clinic 26 October 2024.

Sadly due to a long term infection none of the babies made it. Half had already passed away in the womb, and she would have passed in the following weeks without intervention.

Since then she's been observed limping with her back legs.

Multiple tests at Richmond Vet Clinic and Advance Kensington has revealed a few health issues.

She has:

Luxated patellas, snapped CCL (a main ligament), extra bones in her knees from years of limping and grinding the bones down, arthritis, rhinitis, and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.

She is now on initial medication for her heart and breathing.

However all the vet expenses has meant we can't afford the two surgeries for her legs. YET.

Snickerdoodle is a fighter.

Despite all the pain she is an active member of the foster household, sitting with her carer on the couch, patiently waiting at her feet for dinner, and grooming her grandchildren also in care.

We want to reduce her pain and give her the best life possible.

Especially since she's only around 6 years old!
