SnapPea's Surgery: Every Donation Helps!
Donation protected
SnapPea arrived at our shelter as a stray with severe injuries, mostly to her mouth area. While you can clearly see the trauma in the photos here, they do not show how urgent this looked when SnapPea arrived. These photos show her after some initial treatment and cleaning.
She is eating pretty well (hooray for soft, mushy foods) and she has a positive attitude. She's also very friendly and fairly mellow - a sweet girl for all of this medical handling. Our doctor and medical team are keeping her comfortable. She is scheduled for surgery with a specialist outside of our shelter, and it's possible she will need to have part of her mandible (jawbone) removed as well as having some teeth extracted. The estimated range for her procedure goes up to approximately $6000. As you may suspect, this will take a huge chunk out of our donated funds that go towards special medical cases, and we want to be able to help more pets.
We're asking for donations to help pets like SnapPea that need special medical care. If you're able to help, please consider making a donation! SnapPea and her adorable little face appreciate any help you may be able to provide. All shelter pets with special needs thank you. Your donations save lives!
