Update!
We are so grateful for your generous donations! Our Snapdragon album was dragin' as we encountered some sticky situations. But we are moving along again. We are hoping for an April release. This is just on time for April appearances at Germantown Country Dancers First Saturday in Philadelphia, The New York Playford Ball, and Pitt's Maggot in Pittsburgh.
Your support means so much to us and has been key to the completion of this project!

Amazing! Thank you all so much for filling up and overflowing our goal so quickly. Carrie says she is "gobsmacked and deeply moved by your support."
The $6500 will likely cover the bills for the studio work (recording, mixing, mastering).
Donations beyond that number will be applied first to any setbacks requiring extra studio time, and other incidental costs. Any remainder will be divided among the musicians as recompense for the huge effort and professional skill they are putting in post-recording (150+ hours so far) to create the best dancing sound for you.
Snap, Crackle, POP! Help Snapdragon pop their first CD!
Dear friends,
Snapdragon—Dave Wiesler, Carrie Rose, Miranda Weinberg—are in the mixdown phase of their new CD, featuring English Dances from Key to the Cellar, by Jenny Beer and Scott Higgs. Can you help us cross the finish line?
Our GoFundMe goal of $6,500 will take us through the last stages of production up to release. (Carrie scored a grant to fund the first phases.)
Dance-length tunes for 14 dances from Key to the Cellar appear on the CD, with 3 bonus tracks featuring recent tunes by Dave (and dances by Jenny).
Members of the band are too modest to blow their own horns, so Jenny and Scott have some observations to share.
Jenny: How many imaginative, beautiful, and propelling ways can 3 musicians riff on one dance tune? Their CD will astonish you. Snapdragon has been dazzling an ever-widening audience with their exceptional musicianship and wide range of feeling and mood – while always lifting up the dancers.
Scott: I enthusiastically agree with Jenny. We're thrilled to have such high-quality recordings for Key to the Cellar dances -- supporting communities that lack live music. It's also extraordinary to have the composer playing so many of them! (Dave Wiesler composed 7 of the tunes.)
Streaming music now dominates the market, and sales of CDs rarely cover costs. When you donate to projects like this, you express gratitude to all the musicians who play for dancing, and encourage them to bring us inspiring music, in-person and on CD.
THANK YOU for whatever help you can offer!
