Snakewater New Album Fundraiser

Hi I’m Bobby, Guitarist / Vocalist and Songwriter for ‘Snakewater’. I’m in need of funds to record the 4th instalment in my Snakewater journey.

I’ve held off too long in asking for help, and using platforms such as this, but I feel if ‘Snakewater’ or myself as a songwriter can continue to record, then I need to ask for help.

The last Album “Ain’t No More Room in Hell” was released in 2017! 7 years ago! And it was highly received all around Europe. We had a lot of fun touring that album in 18/19, and we found our audiences in Germany and Holland especially was growing from strength to strength…. And then the inevitable happened… Covid.

everything then stalled… and it’s not got back into gear. Due to work / life / weddings / babies… and personal mental health problems,

It all seemed to be a black hole that had no escape…

We’ve only played live 3 times in 21/22 and nothing since… Over the last year or so, I’ve had this huge urge and motivation to get back out there, to hopefully pick up where we left off…. But I wanted a new Album and new songs to play I’ve when we did play live again as ‘Snakewater’. I didn’t want to reactivate ‘The Band’, without that. The songs are there, penned ready to go… well in fact possibly over 60+ potential songs for the album! Some in which I’m emotional proud of… but at the minute they are still in a notebook and in my head.

My problem has been the financial element in recording an album, mastering said album and getting the album printed physically (CD and Vinyl) and online distribution (iTunes / Amazon etc)… a fee that I just haven’t got on my own. To do all that, and still on a budget… it will cost between £6000-£8000.

So many times over the last year or 2… people have come up to me at my cover project gigs, or online in chat… “When’s the new album?” “When we gonna see Snakewater?” “What’s happened to Snakewater?” “Have you been writing any songs?”… and it’s hard to tell them the truth, because Snakewater has always been and still is a massive part of my life… struggling to cope with this massive void in my life over recent years as been tough.

I gig week in week out with various projects of friends, and I love it I do… but nothing gives me more pleasure and happiness then playing songs live that I’ve wrote, and getting the feedback from you about those songs. I’m not trying to imitate anybody, I’m just me.

anyway, I’m not trying to pull on any sob story heartstrings, but if you feel you can help in contributing in anyway you can, I would be forever grateful in helping me get back into the studio and record the songs I need to get down on record, in order for me to get back on the road as ‘Snakewater’.

In return, I can offer all contributes a copy of the new album and entry to a special fundraising show im planning for 2025 (if they are available on selected date).
