Hi everyone,

My name is Angel & this is my beautiful little baby tortie Snackpack (Snacky). She is my whole world, she is such a sweet kitty who has so much energy & personality.

On Monday (3/18) I took Snacky to urgent care because I noticed she hadn't been herself for a few days... she was super lethargic & not eating, just not being the curious little baby who greets me at my door like she usually does. When she was examined, they found that her red blood cell count was dangerously low, she was down to 7% which is critically low (normal volume is around 25-30% if I recall correctly). They recommended we transfer her to the ER immediately for an emergency transfusion. Since then, she's been very up & down in her RBC levels & has even diagnosed as anemic (formally known as IMHA). She has since had another transfusion & will be undergoing a bone marrow biopsy soon... she is a tiny, tiny girl but I have so much hope for her strength & spirit.

Obviously, without a question, I agreed to everything the teams have recommended to keep Snacky alive & figure out what's at the root of her anemia. She is my & my partner's whole wide world, we've never had such a connection to a pet in our lives. ♥️

Unfortunately, I was also let go from my job back in December & have been unemployed & looking for work since. These medical costs have absolutely drained my savings almost down to the last cent & have left me with no options but to make this campaign to stay afloat. I'm looking at around a $16.5K bill by the end of this week, which isn't accounting for long-term future care that Snacky has on the horizon. This is incredibly concerning as I have to pay rent soon, as well, while I'm completely in the red.

Feeling like we were losing Snacky has been unbearably stressful & money was the last thing on my mind. If you have ever known me & Michael, seen a picture of Snacky & smiled, & if you are able, I humbly ask for some help to keep our baby healthy & with us. We've missed her so much & just want to bring her home to get better.

The full $16,000 will go to recouping the cost of Snacky's care & go toward her future healing. If we are somehow lucky enough to raise the full amount, we will donate funds excess of Snacky's care to the Feline Underground Network where we adopted Snacky from.
