We were away in Minot, ND, nurturing the growth of our snack business at a trade show when suddenly — my fiancée went into premature labor.
The flurry of emotions was met with a flurry of action. As our little one fought bravely, embodying the spirit of a true snack-sized warrior, we were reminded of the fragility and strength of life. Born a fighter, Kaidence is now receiving round-the-clock care in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Trinity Hospital in Minot, ND. The doctors are optimistic, but the road ahead is long and paved with countless tests, procedures, and dedicated care.
Our family is anchored in Fargo, yet for now, we find ourselves out of town, straddling the worlds of the NICU and our commitment to our business. The balance is delicate; the financial strain, significant.
